- Patient Records Management: Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring all data is accurate and up to date.
- Patient Intake and Documentation: Prepare patient intake forms, consent forms for surgery, and ensure they are signed by the patient. Collect relevant medical history, allergies, medications, and other necessary information prior to surgery.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule consultations, follow-up appointments, and assist in coordinating pre-surgical assessments or necessary tests (e.g., lab work, imaging).
- Patient Communication: Handle patient inquiries, confirm appointments, and relay instructions (e.g., pre-op instructions, post-op care). Make post-surgery follow-up calls to ensure patients are recovering well and address any concerns.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure HIPAA compliance for patient privacy and confidentiality, and follow OSHA standards for safety, sterilization, waste disposal, and infection control.
- Work closely with the office team to ensure a seamless patient experience both in the office and during surgical procedures.
Qualifications:
- Required: Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
