The Regional Transportation Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end transportation logistics for the North America Region (NAR) and managing inbound freight from the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. This position requires a deep understanding of transportation management, encompassing both strategic and operational components. You will be responsible for managing key relationships, conducting Request for Proposal (RFP) processes, performing financial analyses, and monitoring carrier performance, while ensuring seamless day-to-day execution across import, export, and domestic transportation. You will directly support both manufacturing and distribution needs, with primary accountability for the North America Region and support for the Asia Pacific region. This role is hybrid out of Richardson, TX with occasional domestic and international travel.

- Transportation Coordination & Execution
- Resolving escalations and shipment issues from internal teams (logistics, planning, customer service, sales).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support transportation across North America and Asia Pacific.
- Overseeing daily import, export, and domestic operations.
- Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) & Tender Management
- Leading the RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes, managing bids, pricing negotiations, and service agreements.
- Driving spot quote requests and approvals.
- Performance Management & Reporting
- Tracking carrier performance, managing scorecards, and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Supporting Finance with monthly accruals and financial reporting.
- Updating transit times and SAP systems as necessary.
- Forecasting & Planning
- Coordinating weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasting.
- Updating fuel surcharge information for all transportation modes.
- Carrier Relations & Regional Collaboration
- Hosting regular calls with carriers and forwarders to assess regional performance.
- Addressing complaints and leading regional/local improvement projects.
- Proven experience managing multiple modes of transportation, including ocean, air, Less-than-Truckload (LTL), Truckload (TL), and small parcel.
- Solid experience in carrier performance management, financial analysis, and transportation network optimization.
- In-depth knowledge of customs, import/export, and transportation compliance.
- Proficient in SAP, Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables), and PowerPoint with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Skills in analyzing transportation networks with a global perspective.
- Experience in collaborating across geographies and departments.
- Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels and influences teams.
- Evidence of strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- History of being adaptable across cultures with a global mindset.
