Bachelor's degree or advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major specialization in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
The main purpose of a Service Coordinator is to support and assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving their personal goals. The service coordinator assists each consumer, along with the Program Provider, in accessing medical, social, educational, and other appropriate services and supports that will help that individual achieve a quality of life and community participation that is acceptable to the individual. This is accomplished through: 1) assessment, 2) service planning and coordination, 3) monitoring, and 4) crisis prevention and management. This position may require the employee to transport consumers in their personal vehicles, drive Andrews Center vehicles, or drive representing the Center and therefore must have current Texas driver's license and meet insurability criteria.Full-Time
