Terms of Employment: 10 months 15 days. Wages according to current schedule.

Primary Purpose:
Facilitate the efficient operation of an administrative department office and provide clerical services to the counselors and vocational staff members. Greet campus visitors to the office and assist them with accomplishing the purpose of their visit.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient typing, keyboarding, file maintenance, and word processing skills
Effective communication skills
Basic math skills
Basic computer operation skills
Experience:
Three years clerical experience preferably in a public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records, Reports, and Correspondence
- Maintain cumulative records files.
- Organize and manage the routine work activities in the assigned administrative department.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports for the counselors using computer.
- Assist in compiling information for preparing various reports for the department.
- Submit requisitions, orders and maintains records for vocational supplies and travel.
- Receive incoming calls, takes reliable messages, and routes all to appropriate staff.
- Receive, sort, and distribute mail and other documents to other department staff members.
- Type letters, requisitions, and other things as assigned.
- Process purchase orders and others as they arrive.
- Maintain confidentiality of information.
- Perform routine bookkeeping tasks including counting and accounting for deposits.

- Assist in campus office as needed.
- Perform such other duties assigned by the counselor(s) or Principal.
- Adhere to Texas school law, State Board of Education rules and regulations, Board of Education policies and regulations and school regulations and procedures.
