What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vespers Director position at Andrews University?
The Center for Faith Engagement, CFE, is looking for a qualified student worker to join our department serving as the Student Director for CFE vespers programming, ensuring quality and intentional spiritual programming occurs during the vespers time slot each week. Additionally, the Student Director is responsible for the recruiting and leading of a team of other student leaders to broaden the reach of the vespers program and ensure all aspects of the program are supported.

Lead team of student volunteers responsible for planning and executing vespers programming, afterglows, next steps, and other programs as necessary
Execute Campus faith-culture projects in support of wider campus culture initiatives
Assist in Center for Faith Engagement initiatives in a mutually supportive manner (events include Week of Prayer, Fellowships, Engage Summits, and others as needed)

Demonstrated evidence of strong spiritual programming skills including thematic planning, program management, team leadership, and speaking
Strong attention to details and ability plan, schedule, and hold competing high priority deadlines without difficulty
Demonstrated understanding and commitment to diverse and inclusive worship planning on Andrews University’s campus
Strong ability to network and connect with various campus student groups, departments, ministries, and clubs
Prior experience in a ministry role pertaining to leading, speaking, or mission on Andrews campus a plus
- Must be a student in good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 2.5
- NOTE: This individual must be available Aug. 11 - 15, 2025 for the required CFE Student Chaplain Retreat
