ANDRITZ Metals USA Inc is seeking a Lucas Mill Operator for our facility in Callery, PA. Under the direction of Foreman , the Lucas Mill Operator is responsible to set up and operate a Lucas Mill.
Requirements
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items
- Receives drawings, sketches, instructions, etc. from the foreman or assistant foreman.
- Sets-up the machine from drawings and instructions. Select proper feeds and speeds.
- Loads material into the machine manually or with the aid of the jib hoist. Positions, aligns and clamps as required.
- Operates in rough and finish milling of keyways, grooves, flats etc.
- Uses measuring instruments such a micrometer, squares, indicators etc.
- Unloads finished pieces manually or with the aid of the Jib crane.
- Grind tools as required.
- Moves materials to and from machine area.
- Reports defective material or faulty equipment
- Performs minor repairs or assists in major repairs Lubricates equipment and maintain machine and area in a clean and orderly manner
