The Role
Under the direction of the Working Shop Supervisor - Machining , the Machinist III is responsible for grinding and machining in the Steel Industry.
Requirements
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items
- Plan and set up boring mill and CNC lathe.
- Load, position, and unload material with a crane.
- Position and clamp the material as required.
- Receive drawings – check manuscript against drawings.
- Aligns workpiece and spindle manually.
- Changes tools per manuscript.
- Checks first piece.
- Operates machine select speed and setup.
- Reports any errors, defective material, or faulty equipment.
- Performs minor repairs.
- Lubricates equipment and keeps machine area clean and orderly.
- Able to work second shift.

Education and Experience
- Highschool diploma or equivalent.
- Candidates should have a broad background in machining.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a Machine Shop environment.
- Experience with Horizontal Mills and Lathes.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds. And as required to individually perform Key Result items.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
