Purpose Statement
Product Design Assitant is responsible to assist in basic part design changes and write technical guidelines for product assembly. You must follow safety guidelines and adhere to compliance requirements. This requires Andritz quality standards to be met within the cleaner product line by working closely with both the engineering department as well as the assembly department to prepare standard assembly instructions for varios cleaner assemblies.
Job responsibilities and task
Responsibilites (included but are not limitied to)
- Work with assembly team members to determine the standard way to build cleaners.
- Write the assembly method step-by-step according to direction and standard format.
- Navigate the current product design vault to locate 3D models.
- If models are not availble a model must be made.
- Use these renderings to simulate assemblies in the document.
- Arrange, revise/update, and load cleaner product information into Docupedia
Education, professional experience, and qualification preferred/required
High school diploma/GED and minimum of 2 yr. in associate degree or technical school education in related field.
Bachelor's degree in related field a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in technical writing, operating instruction development, or related field.
Proficient in Autodesk software (Inventor, Vault)
Proficient in Microsoft 365 software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
Experience with 3D animation software a plus.
Physical and Mental Qualifications
Position performed in an office environment. Frequent visits to manufacturing facilities are required. Environment: Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes and possibly manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for position: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, ascend/descend stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed will be with reasonable accommodations.
