Position Overview

The ideal candidate will bring established relationships with key shippers and be prepared to travel extensively.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth and expand Andrus Transportation’s footprint.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Fortune 500 companies and other key clients.
• Lead and mentor the sales team, fostering a results-driven culture.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing, ensuring competitive and profitable rate structures.
• Utilize industry-leading websites and dashboards for RFP processes and bid management.
• Collaborate with operations, dispatch, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of freight movements.

• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations at the federal and state levels.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Leverage experience with AS400 systems for customer and operational data management.
• Extensive travel to meet with clients, attend industry events, and develop new business opportunities.
Qualifications
• 10 years of sales leadership experience in an asset-based trucking company.
• Proven success in securing and managing contracts with Fortune 500 companies.
• Strong understanding of full truckload dry van pricing and market rates.
• Experience using RFP platforms and industry-specific dashboards.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in AS400, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Willing and able to travel extensively.
