Job Overview:
The Residential Educational Instructor will assist in developing an on-campus Co-Op program to support at-risk teens who have struggled in traditional school settings. These challenges may stem from poor attendance, special needs, or behavioral difficulties. The primary responsibility of this role is to assess, advise, and create an alternative learning environment that fosters academic success. The instructor will provide structured academic support, develop tailored curricula, and collaborate with residential and educational departments to ensure students’ progress. This position is crucial in providing educational opportunities for students who need alternative learning approaches, ensuring their academic growth and success within a structured yet supportive environment.
Schedule and Shift:
- Monday - Friday (including evening homework assistance)
- Full-Time
- Location: Main Campus
Primary Job Responsibilities:

Research and stay informed about established practicum programs.
- Develop and implement engaging curricula suited to students’ needs.
- Assess, plan, and coordinate individualized lesson plans.
- To support students, collaborate with Alternative Learning Services (ALS), the Educational Liaison, and the residential program.
- Monitor student applications and maintain records of academic progress.
- Maintain student records/portfolios, including achievements, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
- Collect, analyze, and evaluate program data for continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present summary reports on student performance.
- Participate monthly meetings with the Educational Liaison, ALS department, and Residential Director.
- Utilize a variety of assessments to track student learning and inform instructional strategies.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with students and staff.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor, President/CEO, or Director of Operations.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a classroom setting.
- Experience with special education, including Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Experience teaching middle and high school students.
- Strong understanding of alternative education methodologies.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to assess and track student progress effectively.
