Job Overview:
The Residential Manager (floor supervisor) is responsible for assisting in the development and monitoring of foster care services at Children’s Harbor. This role ensures compliance with Children’s Harbor (CH) policies, Department of Children & Families (DCF) regulations, Council on Accreditation (COA), and ChildNet (CNET) standards. The Residential Manager works closely with the Residential Director, Residential Coordinator, and Maternity Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of residential homes, ensuring they function smoothly and provide a safe, nurturing environment for youth in care. This position requires a dedicated leader to supervise residential staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure foster youth receive quality care in a structured environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all residential homes comply with DCF, CNET, and DOH guidelines by conducting monthly walkthroughs.
- Adhere to Children’s Harbor policies and state regulations (65C-14) governing foster care.
- Work with the Residential Coordinator to maintain readiness for new respite home admissions, including staffing, grocery provisions, and facility readiness.
- Supervise and provide monthly meetings with House Parents (HPs) to ensure compliance and address concerns.
- Participate in team huddles and HP meetings to coordinate staff efforts.
- Manage staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for youth, maternity, and respite care programs.
- Monitor and approve payroll-related forms, including essential pay, PTO, vacation requests, and call-outs.
- Ensure incident and runaway reports are appropriately documented and submitted after each shift.
- Oversee the completion of required reports, including MARS, incident reports, fire drill reports, and other administrative documentation.
- Assist in planning and participating in youth events and campus activities.
- Ensure activity calendars are prepared before weekend shifts.
- Monitor petty cash, outing money, youth allowances, and grocery funds to ensure proper allocation and documentation.
- Conduct weekly grocery inventory reviews in collaboration with HPs.
- Respond to emails within 24 hours during business hours.
- Maintain organized documentation and communication between departments and staff.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency support during weekends.
Qualification:

At least 4 years of experience working with at-risk children in a residential or foster care setting.
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience managing residential or foster care staff.
- BA in the Social field
- Supervisory experience is a must, and group home experience is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in typing and computer applications for administrative tasks.
- CARE-certified trainer (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and handle administrative duties efficiently.
- Positive attitude with strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
