We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Specialist (PSS) to join our team in the Farmington area. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary for transfers or repositioning.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure a respectful environment for all individuals under care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
Experience
- Previous experience in senior care or home health is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, medication administration, and meal preparation is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
