Overview:
We are actively seeking experienced and motivated professionals for upcoming opportunities as Event Manager for a variety of sports & entertainment venues within the northern Louisiana region. This role provides leadership and accountability for the management of security and event staff operations, staffing, and client relations within the sports and entertainment industry. If you have a strong background in security management, event oversight, and team leadership, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage security staff at various client locations, ensuring proper staffing levels, training, and compliance with all security protocols.
  • Develop and implement post orders, best practices, and training materials for security staff to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead and guide security personnel, resolving staffing issues and addressing performance concerns.
  • Proactively identify potential risks and safety concerns, ensuring a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
  • Collaborate with clients to address security, emergency, and safety needs, ensuring client satisfaction and safety standards are met.
  • Assist in the hiring, orientation, and ongoing training of security personnel, providing direction to new hires and existing staff.
  • Handle scheduling for all security personnel at events, ensuring staffing meets client requirements.
  • Regularly evaluate events and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and submit payroll and billing reports in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective communication with all team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Support other operational areas and assist with special projects as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • At least two years of progressive security experience, including supervisory experience, in a sports and entertainment environment.
  • Strong leadership, planning, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to train and motivate a diverse team, while maintaining a professional, results-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards and security operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently with sound judgment.
  • Willingness to obtain FEMA Certification and IAVM Crowd Manager certification.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to communicate effectively (spoken and written) and perform occasional lifting or handling of small objects.
  • Ability to travel as needed for site visits, meetings, and events.

Work Environment:
  • The position will be based in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels and regular travel to client sites.
