Summary
The Regional Clinical Supervisor will oversee clinical services for mental health therapists, substance use therapists, and case managers while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards. This role will focus on quality assurance, clinical oversight, supervision, and program development across multiple service lines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Supervision & Oversight
- Provide clinical supervision for Mental Health Therapists, Substance Use Therapists, and Case Managers, ensuring adherence to best practices and treatment standards.
- Review and sign off on clinical documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries to maintain compliance with quality metrics.
- Conduct weekly clinical supervision sessions, both individually and in groups, to support professional development.
- Ensure ethical and evidence-based practices are implemented across mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) services.
- Provide ongoing training on assessment tools, treatment interventions, and risk management.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct quarterly QA audits on mental health and SUD services to identify trends, compliance gaps, and training needs.
- Develop and implement corrective action plans to address deficiencies in clinical documentation and service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with state licensing boards, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and accreditation standards (CARF, Joint Commission, etc.).
- Collaborate with operations managers to improve client engagement, retention rates, and clinical effectiveness.
- Monitor utilization review processes to ensure proper billing, coding, and medical necessity compliance.
Program Development & Staff Training
- Develop structured training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development.
- Work with Operations Managers to enhance IOP, OP, and CPST programs with a focus on client-centered care.
- Support staff pursuing independent licensure by providing clinical and licensure supervision.
- Assist in the development and refinement of treatment protocols, care coordination models, and evidence-based interventions.
Deliverables
- 1 On-Site Visit Per Week – Up To 4 Sites a week
- 1- Weekly Onboarding Training – Held on Tuesday's
- 1x Weekly Group Supervision (Mental Health, SUD, and Case Management)
- Review & Sign Off on Assessments, Clinical Notes & Treatment Plans (Ongoing)
- 1x Monthly QA Audit – Intake & ITP
- 1x Monthly Case Management QA Review
- 1x Monthly Medical Necessity & Utilization Review
- 1x Monthly MAT Compliance Review & Deficiency Report
- Regular Collaboration with Operations for Program Development & Compliance
- Monthly CEU Training Completion & Documentation
Education
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Certification
- Independent Licensure (LISW, LPCC, LIMFT, LICDC, or equivalent).
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mental health and/or SUD treatment.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health and substance use.
- Experience with quality assurance, documentation audits, and accreditation compliance.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, In-between 8 AM to 6 PM, 4 Days In Office (1 Office per day at minimum),
