Job Description: The Legal Intake Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for potential clients, assisting with the intake process and gathering initial information. This role is crucial to ensuring a smooth and efficient client experience, and will be supervised by our senior attorneys. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an understanding of immigration procedures, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, emails, and online inquiries from potential clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Collect and review client information to determine eligibility for immigration services.
- Conduct initial consultations to gather relevant details about clients’ immigration matters.
- Schedule meetings with attorneys and assist with the preparation of case files.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and case information in the firm's case management system.
- Assist clients with completing intake forms and required documentation.
- Work closely with senior attorneys to ensure accurate case assessments and smooth transitions.
- Stay updated on immigration law changes and firm policies.
- Provide general administrative support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in immigration law is required.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software (preferred).
- Bilingual (Spanish and English) is required.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree or legal studies background preferred.
