Veterinary Assistant/Veterinary Technician

Angel Oak Animal Hospital, located on beautiful Johns Island, SC has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, skilled veterinary technician for a growing 2 doctor small animal practice. Technicians at AOAH are extremely involved with client and patient care. Qualified candidates should have strong communications skills, multi-tasking capabilities, able to work within fast paced environment, team player mentality, possess a mature work ethic and have strong technical skills. Skill sets required, but not limited to, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, anesthetic induction and monitoring, dental radiographs, working knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology, radiographic positioning.

Position is Monday-Friday with no weekends and no boarding or on call. Must have reliable transportation and over 18 years old. Need to be able to lift more than 50lbs. High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates or bachelors degree preferred.

Registered Veterinary Technician preferred but candidates with 3 or more years of animal medical care will be considered.

Pay commensurate with experience.
