Position Summary
The Slot Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Slot Department, focusing on team building, management, and leadership. This role involves daily oversight, ensuring efficient operations, and utilizing slot analytics to drive performance and guest satisfaction. You will lead a team to ensure compliance and gaming regulations and internal policies while maintaining a seamless and engaging gaming experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations of the slot department to ensure optimal functionality and guest satisfaction.
• Manage and train slot operations staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Implement strategies to improve efficiency, slot machine uptime, and overall performance.
• Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate with the Director of Gaming on staffing, budgeting, and operational improvements.
• Use slot performance data to identify areas for operational improvement and increased performance.
• Cross-departmental collaboration for all property related projects, events and initiatives.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5 years of experience in casino operations with a focus on slot operations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficient in data analysis tools and comfortable with slot analytics (Excel, Tableau, or similar tools).
• Knowledge of slot machine operations, player behavior, and game performance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with gaming regulations and compliance.
Preferred
• Experience with slot systems (Bally, IGT, Aristocrat)
• Experience with slot service systems (i.e. Servizio)
• Proven track record in improving operational efficiency and enhancing guest experience.
• Advanced degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Experience in a high-volume and/or tribal casino environment.
Certificates, Licenses, Regulations
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class A/3 gaming license from the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency and the State of Washington.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral and written communication. The position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires repetitive movement with the ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift. There are no adverse conditions, but employee is exposed to tobacco smoke on a regular basis. This is a 24 hour, 7 days a week work operation.
