Preschool Music Teacher

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Preschool/Youth Music Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students. The Music Teacher will be responsible for planning and implementing our Music FunTime curriculum that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of children. This role requires a person with a warm nurturing personality with experience working with preschool-age/youth children, who is also able to create a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating, safe, and inclusive.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement the provided comprehensive music curriculum for preschool/youth-age children, incorporating various activities, such as art projects, music, dance, and games, to promote learning and development.
- Prepare and maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning and encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Develop and implement provided lessons and activities that align with the curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of our students.
- Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, promoting a sense of community and trust within the school.
- Conduct regular observations and assessments of children's progress, providing constructive feedback and recommendations to parents.
- Provide support and guidance to children as they learn and develop new skills.
- Engage in ongoing professional development with our curriculum specialist.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any special needs or allergies.

Skills:
- Experience working with preschool-age children.
- Ability to create a stimulating and engaging classroom environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of classroom management and organizational strategies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
