QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
· Take 8-hour CPR course on a Saturday prior to the start of summer camps or present proof of current CPR certification.
· Take online Sexual Harassment Course prior to the start of summer camps.
· Complete Camp Counselor training prior to the start of summer camps.
Preferred:
· Some college hours (preferably in Child Development or Education).
· Experience: Experience working with children.
· Current CPR certification.

· Work as assigned between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, during the months of May through August.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The position will report to the Manager of Continuing Education for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:
· Work with other camp counselors to assist in instructing summer camps;
· Escort campers between camps and early drop-off, lunch, and late pick-up locations;
· Check in and greet students and parents in the morning, and check out and greet students and parents in the afternoons;
· Work camp hours as assigned by the office of the Chair of Continuing Education, not exceeding 19.5 hours per week; and
· Attend a pre-camp orientation meeting in late May.
CONTRACT & SALARY:
$12.50 per hour. Proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States must be verified for the successful candidate.
