Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our cozy café team. In this role, you will take orders, chat with customers, and if you have a passion for feeding the masses and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to meet you!
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the café and provide assistance with menu selections
- Handcraft coffee beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos, americanos, teas, iced lattes, and other delicious beverages
- Assemble menu items such as bagel sandwiches, wraps, breakfast burritos, bowls, etc.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area, including dining tables and service counters
- Assist in all food preparation during free time
- Address customer inquiries or concerns
Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service or the food industry is preferred but not required
- Previous barista knowledge is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who is willing to help colleagues as needed
