Job Summary
As a Home Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals in their homes, nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, meal preparation, behavior management, and ensuring the overall well-being of the individuals under your care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to individuals in need of home care or residing in nursing homes or assisted living facilities
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Engage individuals in memory care activities and exercises to promote cognitive function
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary
- Implement behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors effectively
- Lift and transfer individuals safely as required
Skills
- Experience in nursing home, home community care, or assisted living settings is preferred
- Knowledge of ADLs and memory care practices
- Ability to provide compassionate and attentive care to individuals with diverse needs
- Proficiency in meal preparation and ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with individuals and their families
- Capability to manage behaviors effectively while maintaining a safe environment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
