Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities, including planning and preparing materials for lessons and activities.
- Child Engagement: Actively engage with children during play and learning activities, encouraging exploration, creativity, and positive social interactions.
- Supervision: Supervise children to always ensure their safety and well-being, both indoors and outdoors.
- Assessment Assistance: Support the Lead Teacher in observing and documenting children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Family Communication: Build positive relationships with families through informal communication and participation in family engagement activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher and other staff to create a cohesive team environment that supports the educational goals of the classroom.
- Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate?s degree in early childhood education, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in an early childhood setting is preferred, but not required.
- Skills: Strong understanding of child development principles, effective communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and a passion for supporting young children?s learning.
