We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Dining Server to join our team at a local assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to our residents and their guests, ensuring they enjoy a memorable dining experience. As a Dining Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and greet residents and their guests warmly as they arrive, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage options, including daily specials.
- Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring clarity and attention to any special requests.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring consistency in presentation and portion size.
- Monitor and attend to residents' needs throughout their meal, promoting a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of tables, ensuring they are set correctly and are clean.
- Process payments and handle cash or credit transactions with accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas and service stations.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe environment for both guests and staff.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service skills and ALF industry knowledge.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate issues to management as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a server in an assisted living facility or hospitality setting preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong focus on guest service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and managing time effectively.
- Knowledge of food and beverage pairings, as well as dietary restrictions and allergies.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
