Job Summary
Angels on Call Homecare, a premier licensed homecare agency in New York, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the People Operations Department, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations while fostering a positive, inclusive, and productive workplace culture. This full-time position is based in our Peekskill office, with working hours of Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of employee compliance and personnel records, ensuring adherence to Department of Health regulations.
Lead and manage the People Operations Department, including supervising a team of three recruiters, overseeing caregiver compliance and expirations, and ensuring timely adherence to regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate and comprehensive employee documentation, including personnel files, certifications, continued education courses, and compliance logs.
Develop and deliver engaging training sessions to educate employees on benefits programs, including PTO, PSL, PFL, and DBL.
Manage and report workers' compensation claims, maintaining a proactive approach to resolution and compliance.
Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff on all employee relations matters, fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration.Implement strategies to improve employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace satisfaction.
Leverage HR systems to streamline operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive data-informed decision-making.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a Human Resources management role, preferably within healthcare or homecare.
Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of New York State Department of Health regulations and compliance requirements.
Skills: Proven ability to build strong employee relationships and resolve conflicts effectively; excellent organizational and communication skills; proficiency in HR software and systems.
Attributes: Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple priorities with attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
What We Offer
Compensation: Competitive salary of $75,000 - $85,000, commensurate with experience, plus performance-based bonuses and raises.
