Purchasing Specialist
Angie’s Food Concepts is on a mission to make lobster affordable to everyone. As a purchasing specialist, you will be essential to the company and its mission. As a PS, you are responsible for accurately and timely purchasing needed products and items for multiple locations and departments at the lowest cost possible while maintaining the highest quality standards. A PS is responsible for coordinating product pickup or delivery into the warehouse. The PS will work closely with the Receiving Team on product quality reports, code date reports, and proper rotation of products. Also, manage product market cost base to maximize profitability for the company.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Purchase products, services, and equipment for multiple locations and departments.
- Manage multiple SKUs in all categories.
- Manage supplier performance and relationships.
- Assist with the evaluation of suppliers based on quality, price, service support, reliability, availability, and product selection. Help to identify primary, secondary, and supplemental vendors for the sourcing and procuring of items.
- Work closely with QA / Safety on Supplier Verifications.
- Has the ability to communicate effectively and maintain inter-departmental relationships.
- Participates in process improvements and promotes teamwork.
