Summary/Objective Of Role

The Director, Talent Acquisition will partner with key stakeholders to drive the global talent acquisition strategy, standards, programs, and processes to ensure global consistency across diverse geographies (Africa, Australia, LatAm and the US) while maintaining regional and site flexibility.

Role Accountabilities
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.
Compensation
Base Salary Range $200,000 - $215,000

Role Accountabilities
- Build a virtual/formal Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence: Develop global standards and processes, aligned to leading practices and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the Global Talent Acquisition strategy: Innovate and streamline the global hiring process to enhance efficiency and quality of hire. Collaborate closely with functions and regions to refine and evolve function-specific recruitment strategies.
- Employer Branding: Partner with Communications, Talent Management and HR Leadership team to build and deploy an EVP and a global employer brand strategy.
- Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry talent trends and market dynamics, offering strategic insights and market intelligence to senior leadership.
- Vendor/Partnership Management: Pinpoint strategic college partnerships, employee groups, recruitment events, tools, and job boards, optimizing recruitment efforts and enhancing diversity initiatives. Oversee external agency relationships as necessary, including contract negotiations and management.
- Work within the framework of local regulations and practices.
- Create a consistent and powerful candidate and employee experience, from recruitment through to onboarding.
- Build and leverage partnerships with universities, community colleges and various employment resource groups to develop and implement internships, graduate programs and representation of under employed groups.
- Workforce Planning: Partner with HR Leadership team and Financial Planning & Analysis to accurately forecast hiring needs, aligning with business growth projections and strategic objectives.
- Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to track recruitment metrics, identify trends, and measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

- BA/BS degree
- Masters in a related discipline are preferred, not required
- 10 years of talent acquisition, talent management and/or HR experience preferably within the mining industry
