Angove Partners are partnering with a top insurer to find a Claims Supervisor. This is an opportunity to lead and develop a high-performing Claims team, working closely with senior management to uphold best practices, ensure process efficiency, and deliver exceptional outcomes across technical and administrative claims handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor Claims Department staff in alignment with senior management goals.
- Oversee technical and administrative claims handling, including diaries, reserves, case summaries, and trial coordination.
- Ensure data accuracy and process compliance using company systems and tools.
- Identify high-performing staff for growth opportunities and support underperformers with targeted development plans.
- Evaluate and refine claims processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain strong communication with internal teams and external partners.
- Review management reports and assist with financial planning, including claims forecasts.
- Lead strategic reviews of key files and maintain appropriate open/close ratios.
- Support special projects and other duties as needed.
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree required; J.D. preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in claims or a related field.
- Demonstrated leadership, technical competency, and a strong track record of professional achievement.
- Deep understanding of insurance operations including coverage, liability, damages, reinsurance, and file management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and collaborative approach.
- Proven ability to build and sustain effective relationships across internal teams and external partners.
