As a key member of the Wicked Weed Brewing team, the Hourly Floor Manager is accountable for all taproom activities and understands POS systems, personnel management and motivation, development and coaching, food safety, and customer satisfaction. This position requires the ability to manage a large staff effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant/pub environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides consistent, perfected customer service and product knowledge, manages operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge, and continually improves proficiency, knowledge, and morale of all employees.
- Understands front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
- Manages labor during shifts and makes the proper adjustments when needed.
- Helps the BOH manage food costs and maintain a high health score.
- Responsible for holding the staff accountable and may require administration of disciplinary action when needed.
- Oversees and manages all areas of the taproom and POS system during scheduled shifts.
- Ensures positive guest service.
- Ensures a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents.
- Understands and maintains facilities at a level exceeding regulatory standards of quality, service, and cleanliness, including clean and sour beer lines.
- Responsible for the proper training of new employees.
- Assists in the hiring, supervision, and peer review of employees.
- Provide ongoing feedback, establish performance expectations, and assist with performance reviews.
- Execute quarterly one one-on-one check-ins with employees.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Candidate will have a minimum of one year of successful taproom management experience.
- Cicerone Certified Beer Server (level one) preferred.
- Knowledge of and love for food and craft beer.
- Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities and recommend appropriate solutions with the ability to quickly problem solve.
- Work with a sense of urgency.
- Must possess good communication skills for dealing with diverse staff.
- The ideal candidate should have self-discipline and the ability to take initiative.
- Strong leadership skills and an outgoing personality are also critical.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

Physical Demands:
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of standing and/or walking. Walking surfaces may be wet and/or slippery.
- Ability to frequently sit, stoop, kneel, crouch.
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, and smell.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. safely and with proper body mechanics
- Ability to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a kitchen environment with fluctuations in temperature and conditions (heat, cold, humidity) for an extended period.
