This position is within ANI's Rare Disease business, which commercializes Cortrophin Gel, a specialty pharmaceutical product used to treat patients with a variety of auto-immune and other conditions including multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute gouty arthritis, and nephrotic syndrome, as well as Iluvien and Yutiq, implantable ophthalmic devices for the treatment of Diabetic Macular Edema and Non-Infectious Uveitis affecting the Posterior Segment respectively.
About the Role
We are seeking an Analyst to support our Strategic Growth and Analytics team in Princeton, NJ. This is a hybrid role. The analyst will support the commercial organization in developing and operationalizing recurring and ad-hoc analytics which will be used to direct strategic decisions.
Analytics include evaluating patient and prescriber level information about users of ANI’s and competing products to understand business and market trends and develop commercial strategies. The role may also include evaluating products outside of ANI's current portfolio to inform potential business development / acquisition activities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day analytics requests within ANI’s data warehouse and other data sources, including daily sales and prescription reporting, patient support, market access, and external sources as appropriate, often working with imperfect information
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data and analytics needs and opportunities. Then develop, prepare and implement analytical plans that answer key questions for executive leadership, including the CEO and Board of Directors
- Learn to operate within the highly regulated environment in which ANI operates, and constantly uphold ANI’s corporate policies and values, especially as it relates to the development and dissemination of information
- Develop and maintain various reports related to commercial success, market access, patient support, and other functions as needed
- Investigate, resolve, and respond to internal inquiries related to data quality and reporting
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience within a healthcare environment, for example a healthcare focused consulting firm or a pharmaceutical company is strongly preferred. However, new graduates will be considered
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge with emphasis in Excel and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of database infrastructure, with experience working with and writing SQL queries preferred
- Knowledge about Veeva, SalesForce, and data visualization applications will be a plus
- Strong knowledge of data management, analytics tools, and technologies
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, and creativity in problem solving, leveraging strong business acumen to translate data insights into business strategies
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while requiring minimal supervision, adapt well under pressure and effectively prioritize tasks to achieve established deadlines
- Strong collaboration skills, and ability to interact effectively with/present to (verbally and in writing) all functions and levels within the organization
- Polished written communication and presentation skills, especially using data visualizations and PowerPoint to distill complex information into compelling, actionable, "so what" deliverables that inform decision making
