Our Vocational Rehabilitation Program is seeking a Job Developer.
JOB SUMMARY
The Job Developer works with job seekers and identifies a pipeline of employers and relationships in the community that can provide them with job opportunities! As an ambassador, building relationships and networking is key to success in this role! The Job Developer is key to ensuring that we have a program that is sustainable and can bridge the gap between job seekers and employers.

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Includes but is not limited to the following.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with employers, industry organizations, and public agencies to identify job openings and to secure employment and proper vocational training opportunities for clients.
- Facilitate weekly group / individual sessions with clients
- Advocate as member of the care planning team to promote supports in relation to employment.
- Meet with clients to evaluate and understand their background, skills, and interests.
- Match potential job openings or training programs with clients.
- Consult with appropriate contact or employer to discuss job openings and candidates.
- Conduct activities which aim to prepare job seekers for work (e.g. resume development, practice interviewing skills, addresses social/communication skill needs).
- Coach candidates in preparation for job interviews and entry into the workforce including by providing background information regarding potential employers and the specific job.
- Consult with clients and employers after interviews to gather feedback and maximize placement opportunities.
- Increase contacts in the community through active participation in various associations. Review reputable websites, local newspapers, and statewide business papers to identify new employers entering the area.
- Present the work of the rehabilitation agency to civic groups and/ or employers.
- Participate in case conferences and care planning meetings to identify specific objectives, goals and actions required to meet job seeker’s needs.
- Ensure timely documentation of services provided in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate regularly with job seeker’s existing supports on matters related to employment.
- Required to work on-site as well as in the community

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required. (Human Services-related field is preferred).
- 1 or more years of experience providing services to people with Developmental Disabilities
- Experience providing employment-relates services to persons with a disability condition is preferred.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and / or have access to reliable transportation.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
