Looking for a job where you can spend your days helping a great cause? Join the team at the Animal Aid Thrift Store where our sales help save Tulsa’s sick, injured, and abused stray animals. The Manager of Animal Aid of Tulsa Thrift Store is directly responsible for all aspects of running the day to day operations of the store and must have excellent communication and customer service skills. Responsibilities include: training and scheduling staff, maintaining consistency and efficiency within the store, developing creative marketing strategies, tracking and reconciling sales and income, creating a welcoming environment for customers, donors, and staff, and understanding and promoting Animal Aid’s Mission. The Store Manager is also expected to participate in the general duties of running the store including: assisting customers, sorting and pricing donated items, stocking store, and working as a cashier. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and be able to stand for long periods of time. Current store hours are: Tuesday-Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm.
The Manager will need a combination of skills and experience to excel at the responsibilities of the job including: retail or business experience, management experience, a knowledge of merchandising, familiarity with social media platforms, strong organizational skills, and the ability to oversee multiple tasks simultaneously. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate with members of the community from diverse backgrounds and remain professional in situations that can be stressful. A passion for helping animals is a must! Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. Preference will be given to candidates with retail management experience and an Associate’s Degree or higher in retail management, business administration, merchandising, or similar.
