Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Certified or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood counts
You will be responsible for assisting in medical, surgical and dental procedures, providing compassionate patient care, monitoring anesthesia, administering medications, performing laboratory tests and educating pet owners. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the well-being of our animal patients and supporting the veterinarians in delivering high-quality care.
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Vet Tech program
Licensed as a Vet Tech (LVT) or Certification ad a s Vet Tech (CVT)
Knowledge of veterinary medical practices, procedures, and terminology
Experience in surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care
Proficiency in conducting laboratory tests and interpreting results
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners
Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and with care
Attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to multitask in a fast paced environment.
Wages between $15/hr and $25/hr.
