Animal Clinic of Muskegon is seeking a Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team! This is an excellent position for candidates with foundational training who are looking to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
In this role, you will provide assistance to Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians, including gentle animal handling and restraint during outpatient procedures such as physical exams, vaccines, and blood draws. You will also assist our reception team by providing top-tier customer service with answering phones and scheduling appointments. This is an ideal position for efficient multi-taskers who enjoy a supportive role in a team-oriented environment!
This is a full-time position, with availability needed Monday-Friday, and one Saturday per month.
Full-time benefits and compensation:
- Compensation: $15-18/hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package: $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience

Minimum qualifications and skillset:
- 1-3 years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Commitment to a career in veterinary medicine with ongoing training
- Proficiency in the following skills:
- Patient restraint
- Medication administration (IM, SQ, IV, Oral)
- Client communication/education
- Phone etiquette
