Animal Clinic of Rapid City is looking for a full time experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team temporarily for the summer.
Animal Clinic of Rapid City is an 8 doctor General Practice with a 24/7 Emergency Hospital. We practice high quality, advanced medicine and take pride in being the only ER within 350 miles. We are a large practice and open 24/7, allowing for extensive learning opportunities due to the varied caseload. We are a large clinic and are very supportive of each other, but emphasize a healthy work/life balance to allow personal time away from the clinic.
We are seeking a highly motivated team member with a passion for the animal community, who has the ability to provide excellent client and patient care, remain calm under pressure with exceptional communication skills. Our team members are given the opportunity to learn and grow in the veterinary industry while getting exposure to both general practice and emergency veterinary medicine.
Veterinary Technician Duties include:
- client check in/out
- triage
- blood draws
- urinalysis
- x-rays
- in house lab work
- anesthesia monitoring
- surgical assisting
- preforming dental procedures
- IV catheter placement
- medication administration
- patient monitoring
- animal restraint/handling
- client education
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
