Salary : $40.00-$45.00ph DOE
Animal ER Care, an AAHA-accredited and VECCS II certified 24 / 7 / 365 emergency practice, is seeking two Clinical Mangers to enhance our management team by providing on-shift support and leadership to our hospital team. This position will have a specific focus in the areas of patient care, quality assurance, case management, service excellence and workforce planning, recruitment, retention, training, and development.
We are looking for accomplished individuals with exceptional emergency and critical care skills, self-motivated, quick thinker, team oriented and has a heart to mentor others. Excellent communication skills and compassion for our team, patients and clients are of the utmost importance. Must be proficient in all areas of emergency and critical care as well as anesthesia. These positions will primarily support our team weekends, evenings (Swing shifts), and holidays.
Requirements :

A minimum of 2 years as a certified / registered Veterinary Technician, required.
Applicants with VTS specialty or emergency / critical care experience are encouraged to apply.
Prior leadership experience required.

Essential Duties :
In collaboration with the Medical Director, clinicians, and other Clinical Managers, develop and implement protocols and standards of care to consistently improve the overall quality of patient care delivered throughout AERC.
Supervise designated veterinary technicians, assistants, and CRS (Team), including mentoring, coaching, and conducting employee evaluations; facilitating and monitoring goal setting for continued professional and personal growth.
In conjunction with other Clinical Manager(s), provide leadership to entire practice by acting as a role model, mentor, and assisting in performance management; facilitate collaboration throughout the entire practice.
Assist leadership team in establishing appropriate staffing levels, adjusting for seasonal changes.
Address onsite client concerns and direct the client to the appropriate Leadership if unable to resolve the conflict.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts.

Physical Effort : Position requires solo lifting and carrying animals up to 50 pounds; when lifting or carrying patients heavier than 50 pounds two or more staff members is required. You must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Some patients may require restraint on the floor, therefore must be able to be in a bent position for a long period of time. Must be able to move swiftly during an emergency.
Working Conditions : May be exposed to physical harm such as bites, scratches, and contagious diseases; and will be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, & animals.
