What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Customer Service Representative position at Animal Medical Center?
We have two full-service small animal veterinary hospitals located in Rogers, Arkansas looking to hire an experienced full-time veterinary receptionist. We provide comprehensive medical and surgical services to include: on-site digital radiography, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, diagnostic lab-work, basic grooming, boarding, and wellness and sick appointments.
Job Duties:
- Greeting and assisting clients and patients
- Checking in and checking out patients of hospital and computer software
- Billing and using credit card machines.
- Communicating with clients via phone, email, and chat. Managing online scheduling software.
- Assisting where needed to include: assisting Doctors and staff with patient check ins, drop offs, check outs, boarding drop offs and check outs, patient restraint, taking patient histories, providing client education for our products and medications.
Skills required:
- Strong phone, computer, and customer service skills
- Knowledge of Windows based computer programs, such as Microsoft Word
- Must be able to work courteously and effectively with the public
- Reliable, with good organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy in work, the ability to work with and without supervision, and good problem-solving skills
- Must have a TEAM attitude and be willing to help other staff in working towards a goal of excellent patient and client care.
- MUST enjoy working with both people and animals. Must show compassion to both patients and clients.
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and manage customer expectations.
- Ability to handle money accurately and competently.
- Knowledge of companion animals and behavior and the ability to convey that information to the public
- Bilingual is a plus!
- Experience in veterinary customer service relations preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, further education in the veterinary or communications fields preferred.
Compensation: Based on experience, starting at $13/hr.

Hours will include shifts from 7:00am-5:30pm 4 days per week with a set day off, and a rotating Saturday morning shift from 8:00am-12:00pm.

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
