Kennel Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and welfare, ensuring that all pets in our facility receive the highest level of attention and care. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for the animals, providing daily care, and assisting with various tasks related to their well-being.

Duties

• Provide daily care for dogs and other animals, including feeding and exercising.
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff or management.
• Handle animals safely using appropriate restraint methods when necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and well-being.
• Support veterinary technicians during examinations or treatments as required.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills related to animal care.

Experience

• Previous experience in animal care or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Skills in customer service to effectively interact with pet owners.
• Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of animal restraint methods and handling practices is beneficial.
• Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is essential.
• Must be able to handle and lift large dogs.
