Animal Medical & Surgical Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking a Lead Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. This an excellent opportunity for skilled Veterinary Assistants looking to take the next step in their career and develop as a leader within a supportive environment!
Our support team plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care and client service. In this role, you will provide leadership to our veterinary assistant team alongside general veterinary assistant responsibilities, including inpatient and outpatient care, exam room assistance, and surgical assistance. Leadership responsibilities will focus on day-to-day delegation of tasks to optimize workflow, ensuring safety and medical standards are being met, and providing guidance, training, and mentorship to the support team. This is an ideal position for those with high emotional intelligence, the ability to cultivate positive culture, and excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
This is a full-time position, with a schedule of 7 : 15am-7pm on weekdays and 7 : 45a-6pm on Saturdays. Availability needed Monday-Saturday, with Saturdays on rotation. Additionally, there is an on-call rotation schedule for after hour veterinary needs that may arise.
Full-time benefits and compensation :
- Compensation : $14-$16 / hour, based on experience and skillset
- Bonus package : $500 for those with 3 years of consecutive, current VA experience
