What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND IT position at Animal Rescue League of Iowa?
The Animal Rescue League of Iowa (ARL) is seeking a full time Director of Finance and IT. The perfect candidate for this position should have 3 years of experience in finance and accounting; and have additional background with IT related programs. This position would be responsible for overseeing and leading the ARLs accounting program, overseeing others on the team in this area, and playing a role with budgeting and long range planning relating to budgeting as part of the staff leadership team working with and supporting the CEO and ARL operations. Additionally this position will oversee the payroll function for over 100 employees. This position will be located at our Main office in Des Moines; and requires the person to be in the office Monday-Friday due to the nature of the work.
Qualified candidates should have earned a CPA degree at a minimum, with additional certifications relating to Finance and Accounting; or MBA degree a plus. Candidates should possess a high level of skill, be able to work independently in a fast paced environment, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be able to multi-task; have background with accounting and payroll, have energy, a positive attitude, and leadership skills.
