- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients.
- Provide care for animals in the kennel, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to prevent infection.
- Handle animals safely and effectively, demonstrating strong dog handling skills.
- Educate pet owners on animal husbandry practices and post-treatment care.
- Conduct X-ray imaging as needed for diagnostic purposes.
- Monitor anesthesia levels during surgical procedures and assist with recovery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology is essential.
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus.
- Experience in laboratory procedures and techniques is desirable.
- Strong skills in animal restraint to ensure safety for both the animal and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
