This position supports the Legal Team within Ankura Business Services, our internal Firm-services function. Due to our exceptional growth and success, Ankura is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join our team. Reporting to the Deputy General Counsel, the Assistant General Counsel will support the Legal Team on Firm-wide initiatives and business group coverage. The Assistant General Counsel will work with functions across the Firm to ensure compliance with the law and internal policies and must be able to work as a motivated, collaborative team member with a strong desire to partner with different constituencies to ensure excellence and consistency in legal advice and counsel across the Firm.

Responsibilities
- Provide advice regarding a variety of issues and disputes, including data and technology-related matters
- Provide advice and counsel in other areas of the law, including general corporate and contract law
- Provide strong transactional legal advice
- Negotiate and draft a wide range of agreements, including engagement letters, vendor contracts, and confidentiality agreements
- Engage in issue spotting, risk assessment, and problem-solving
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school or equivalent foreign degree with significant U.S. legal experience
- Admitted to a U.S. Bar with a preference for a licensed or eligible attorney to practice or immediately able to apply to become registered in-house counsel
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an in-house position with experience handling a wide array of contracts and legal issues
- Ability to assess and manage risk
- Comfortable in highly collaborative environment
- Ability to easily network and build relationship with colleagues and external clients
