Overview: Spring Art Camp | Lead Creativity Camp Instructor
Creativity Camp serves children ages 5-12 years old. Each day, campers work on 2-D and 3-D art projects using a variety of mediums and techniques. Learn more about Creativity Camp here: https://www.annarborartcenter.org/creativity-camps-2025/
The Lead Creativity Camp Instructor will work closely with the Camp Director and Assistant Creativity Camp Instructor to provide a positive and enriching experience for all campers and a safe, welcoming, organized program.
Applicants must be available to work 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, from March 24 through March 28, 2025. This position is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door. Successful Spring Art Camp Instructors may be considered for opportunities that come available with Summer Camp, Art Party Instructors, or other classes and events.
Lead Creativity Camp Instructor Duties
- Write lesson plans and teach lessons to students
- Supervise and delegate tasks to the Assistant Creativity Camp Instructor
- Assist campers with projects throughout the day
- Prepare materials, organize, and distribute supplies
- Manage classroom behavior - provide a safe, positive, creative environment for campers to thrive in
- Maintain order and cleanliness of the studios
- Assist with camper pick-up
- Duties may include walking up and down stairs, standing, bending or leaning over, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working on one's feet most of the day
- Includes other duties related to day camp operations, as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children
- Must have a background in art, collegiate experience is preferred
- Positive, enthusiastic, works well as part of a team
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
