The Michigan Municipal League (the League) is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our team. The approximate starting salary range for this position is $53,000 to $58,000 depending on qualifications. The selected candidate will contribute to the success of the League's marketing and communications efforts by creating print and electronic assets, publications, event branding / materials, videos and a variety of other creative deliverables while maintaining the League's brand standards. Our ideal candidate has a strong eye for creative detail, is a self-starter with great initiative and problem-solving skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They are willing to take on new challenges and can effectively multi-task and meet deadlines. A sense of humor will come in handy as will a willingness to jump in to do what's needed (we all do!).

- Prepares digital graphics and visual assets for websites, stories, social media, email and promotional campaigns.
- Creates and produces original, brand-aligned designs for a range of marketing and communications efforts to help achieve strategic goals.
- Meets design needs for various print materials, league magazine, handbooks, flyers, events material, presentations and reports.
- Create and edit short and long form videos for League communication efforts.
- Review creative materials and assets to ensure accuracy of layouts, design principles, branding, quality and more.
- Consistently strive to ensure deadlines are met.
- Serve as an integral part of our Marketing and Communications team and share ideas for creative, branding, communications and process improvement.
- Manage projects that contribute to overall communications campaigns.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of accessibility requirements and helps ensure content and projects meet accessibility standards.
- Explores and understands the role that AI and other emerging technologies can bring to graphic design to enhance capabilities and increase efficiency.
