We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Camp Counselors. As a Camp Counselor, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and create memorable experiences in a fun and safe environment. This job will require candidates to take on the role of a group leader within the camp. Included in this, but not limited to, are the following responsibilities:
Job Description: Anna's House is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable part-time support staff to assist with the day-to-day operations of our summer camps (June 2 - August 15) for children aged 2.5 - 11 years.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children aged 2.5 - 11 years in various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Chaperone day trips, maintaining a fun and secure atmosphere for all participants.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down activities, including decorations, materials, and equipment.
- Clean and maintain classrooms, restrooms, and other facilities as needed to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Support colleagues during activities by providing hands-on assistance where needed.
- Be on your feet for extended periods, moving between tasks and locations as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children, preferably in a camp, childcare, or educational setting.
- A positive and patient attitude with strong communication skills.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of being on your feet most of the day and performing light cleaning duties.
- Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A background in education, childcare, or recreation is a plus.
Schedule:This is a part-time position with hours varying based on camp schedules.
Compensation:Hourly wage, based on experience.
