Position Purpose
The Health Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Health Services department, ensuring that all departments and processes work seamlessly together. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth functioning of the Personal Care Homes, ensuring high-quality care for Villagers, and promoting a collaborative environment among staff. The manager ensures operational efficiency, supports staff coordination, and addresses any issues that arise to uphold the highest standards of health and safety.
Required Qualifications
Two (2) years’ experience working with adults with development disabilities preferred. Healthcare experience preferred
Two years leadership experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid Class C Georgia Driver’s License, proof of vehicle insurance, and meet company policy regarding MVR requirements.
Must meet state requirements regarding a GBI and FBI criminal history record check which requires fingerprinting.
Must undergo and pass a drug screening and screening for Tuberculosis.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Senior PCH RN communicate with Villagers and Villager families regarding all care
Oversee planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the Health Services department.
Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility's quality assurance program for the Health Services department.
Review and reconcile medication errors daily.
Reviews all incidents and accidents and the 24-hour report daily to ensure prompt follow up by appropriate team members.
Serves as the primary liaison to the pharmacy and provider group.
Participate in QAPI or facility assessment activities
Communicates with Villager and Villager families as needed
Oversee the day-to-day operations of Health Services and ensure Health Services operates efficiently.
Ensures operating and medical supplies are ordered and stocked including incontinence products, office supplies, wound care supplies.
Evaluates work performance of Health Services Professionals and Health Services Coordinator and implements discipline according to operational policies and as directed.
Ensures that there is adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.
Assist the Health Services RN Nurse Manager with the Self Administration of Medication program.
Complete processing of medication order, re-order, delivery, and verification processes.
Performs other duties that may be necessary in the best interest of Annandale at Suwanee, Inc. to meet the personal service and care needs of the facility residents.
