What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educational Support Paraprofessional- Upper School Campus position at Annapolis Area Christian School?
Annapolis Area Christian School is an independent, nondenominational Christian school serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
AACS is searching for an Educational Support (special education) paraprofessional to work with students at the Upper School Campus (9th-12th grade). This hourly school year assignment is a 35-40 hour-a-week position, beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. Under the direction of an Educational Support Specialist, the Educational Support paraprofessional :
- Provides some direct instruction for students who have identified learning needs
- Assists in peer teaching / coaching
- Assists students with Educational Service Plans (ESP) in the general education classroom
- Assists with providing accommodations in classroom assignments and curriculum for students with ESPs
- Collaborates with general education teachers concerning students with ESPs and other student(s)
- Works with individual students based on learning needs identified by the Educational Support team
- Attends planning / progress monitoring meetings.

Candidates should have a minimum of a high school diploma. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree, a heart for serving students, and a minimum of 2 years of experience working with students with learning differences.
