SkinPath Solutions, an affiliate of Anne Arundel Dermatology, is a fast pace, high volume Dermatolopathology laboratory, specializing in the diagnosis of skin, hair, and nail disorders. The highly skilled and experienced technologists provide expert evaluation of the biopsy specimen on state of the art equipment, along with clinical correlation in order to arrive at an accurate diagnosis for the clinical healthcare provider.
Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Laboratory Receptionist is responsible for managing communication and administrative tasks to support the Pathologists and other laboratory team members.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet and announce all visitors to the appropriate personnel.
- Answer incoming calls, make transfers to appropriate party, and take messages as needed.
- Retrieve voicemail messages from overnight calls.
- Place calls for Pathologists and other staff as needed.
- Work with Pathologists on the pending case logs.
- Manage daily filing tasks
- Distribute data entry tasks throughout the day, and send daily and weekly reports as assigned.
- Respond promptly to report requests, courier pickups, and supply orders.
- Maintain supplies for lab and client orders.
- Write Incident Reports (IRs) on errors from clients and maintain the spreadsheet.
- Check all route sheets and coordinate with the courier company and SPS management regarding any issues.
- Provide backup support to Client Services as needed.
- Other duties assigned as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of HIPAA standards.
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Detail-oriented
- Working knowledge of multi-line phone system.
- Able to operate standard office equipment (i.e. computer, fax, copier, scanner, etc.)
- Intermediate computer skills.
Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1-3 years recent experience as a Receptionist.
Licensure/Certifications/Education
Full time employees (defined as regularly working at least 30 hours per week) are eligible for the following benefits:
