Description
Join the bartending team at the USNA Alley, a fast-paced restaurant with opportunity for growth. Flexible scheduling is available, with potential 4-6 hour day and evening shifts, weekdays and/or weekends.
The purpose of this position is to provide both the flexibility and the knowledge to multitask in a restaurant and/or catering atmosphere as a bartender.
Key Responsibilities
Employee prepares and serves all types of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages from a full-service bar. Receives payment or charges to member's account. Makes change and is accountable for cash fund. They assist in taking inventory and maintaining records. Keeps bar area clean and keeps area stocked properly at all times. Washes bar equipment, glassware, and utensils. They will also execute other related duties as required.
Position involves prolonged standing, walking, reaching. Frequent light to moderate lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds required. Occasionally will lift kegs weighing over 100 pounds onto dolly to transport to specified locations.
Must meet minimum age requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Incumbent must possess a minimum of one-year experience working with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Restaurant or Catering Bartending experience preferred.
2. Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
3. Ability to properly operate a bar, maintain inventory and receipts.
4. Ability to complete and pass ServSafe training.
