Position Description
The Anoka County Community Corrections mission is Working to Build a Safer Community. The department has two immediate openings. The Correctional Programs Supervisor provides leadership and operational oversight in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include directing staff during operational shifts and implementing case plans and programs while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
These are full-time, exempt on-site positions. Interviews will take place the week of 02/24/2025 for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary: $85,412.22 - $102,490.25 ($41.06 to $49.27 per hour).
- 2025 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 36. Salary: $85,412.22 - $119,568.28 ($41.06 to $57.48 per hour

Work Location
- These positions will work at the East Central Regional Juvenile Center and the Anoka County Non-Secure Program located at 7555 Fourth Avenue, Lino Lakes Minnesota 55014.
- Work hours include evenings (typically 12pm-8pm), and approximately 8 hours a month during the weekend.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide work direction during operational shifts to staff on duty.
- Oversee and/or facilitate the application and implementation of case plans and program modalities during operational hours. Provide Case Management services and determine plans for participants according to specific program operating principles.
- Supervise, train and review employee performance. Provide leadership, coaching, review timesheets, and communicate to a subordinate group as assigned.
- Enforce policies and procedures to ensure public safety or the safety and security of residents and employees in the facility.
- Assist the managers to ensure full compliance with all licensing and PREA standards.
- Participate in quality control audits of critical safety and security policies. Quality control includes, but is not limited to, well-being checks, head counts, and emergency procedures.
- Assist the manager of the program to conduct investigations that may result in employee disciplinary action.
- Assist with the development and facilitate staff training for new and existing staff.
- Acts as a primary liaison with system partners including MN DOC, courts, attorneys, probation officers, and community providers.
- Share weekend and evening coverage duties on a regularly scheduled rotation with other supervisory staff.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
- Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
- Experience with Offender Change Principals and effective interventions.
- Best practices regarding operations and safety of a residential facility.
- Knowledge of offender rehabilitation best practices.
- Ability to analyze and problem solve
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
- Degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, human services or another related field
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
- Work is performed in a juvenile correctional facility.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies within the facility.
- Requires working directly with and managing juvenile residents who may be difficult, uncooperative, or threatening at times.
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades and brightness
- Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds
- Cognitive abilities required include problem solving, prioritization of tasks, short- and long-term memory, interpreting and understanding written documents, and general mathematical skills
- Assignments require several hours of varied physical activity in addition to viewing a computer screen, sitting at a desk, or walking/standing
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment in addition to various law enforcement equipment depending on assignment
- Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle
