Job Summary: Medical Assistant required to provide occupational health services, including patient care, administrative tasks, and laboratory testing in a fast-paced clinical environment.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our clinical services, providing exceptional patient care, and maintaining positive relationships with customers and employers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors promptly and courteously, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Answer telephones, transfer calls, and screen incoming calls as needed.
  • Assist in coordinating services, providers, and personnel to ensure smooth and timely patient service.
  • Schedule patient visits and testing, prepare patient charts and department forms, and accurately obtain and enter client demographics and patient data.
  • Provide occupational health services, including pulmonary function testing, hearing testing, laboratory testing, and respirator fit testing.
  • Administer medication and immunizations within scope of practice and as ordered by the provider.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms, order medical supplies and equipment, and maintain calibration records.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of Medical Assistant course or equivalent with qualifications required for MA-C certification.
  • Previous work experience in a medical setting (desirable, not required).
  • Excellent customer service skills and strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft office or equivalent programs.
  • Phlebotomy (desirable, not required).

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Occupational Hearing Conservationist (COHC) Certification.
  • NIOSH Spirometry Certification.
  • Current BLS certification.

Compensation: $20-$25 per hour.
